Baby #3

All I can say is Miracle!

Who knew, given mine and Matt's health issues this previous year, that this was even possible.  But here we are expecting Baby #3! In case you didn't know this, this little baby BOY will be arriving on August 5th!  But if he's anything like his brothers he could come as early as 37 weeks.  Crazy to think about cause that's only a couple of weeks away!!

This pregnancy has been completely different from my other two.

First trimester was fiilled with tiredness and lots of salt. Really, I couldn't stop eating everything salty and fattening which usually consist of hamburgers and french fires. :) The end of this trimester was rough!  I started to get really bad headaches which started to turn into migraines.  They got to the point that I couldn't get out of bed, I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep and I couldn't stop throwing up from it.  It was horrible and I didn't know what to do.  Matt even took a couple of his precious sick days to stay home and help me out with the boys. We found out that it was because of my prenatal vitamins and folic acid pills... who knew?! Once I stopped taking them I went back to normal, thankfully!

Second trimester was a whole different story.. I became a vegetarian! Just the sight or smell of meat made me want to throw up. My poor family basically starved because I couldn't come up with anything to feed them.  Most of my recipes consist of meat.  Guess we should change that.  I started feeling more energy during this trimester but that changed towards the end.

Third trimester.. To be honest this has been much better than I was expecting. I still get tired especially after a busy day but if I take my time with things I am still alive at the end of the day.  I haven't been as swollen with this pregnancy as I have with my other two, which is helpful for chasing Ammon and McKay around all day. :) I will say I have been an emotional wreck, though. Don't know if it has anything to do with Matt being gone all the time or me missing my family more then ever but I can't wait to have my body/hormones back to normal so i'm not such a basket case! Oh and my love for meat has come back. Yay for meals again. :)

31 weeks

All in all I feel so completely blessed to be able to have this little boy come into our family!  I can't wait to see what he looks like and what his personality will be!  We love you baby without a name and can't wait to meet you soon!!

Utah

The long trip by myself, pregnant with a 4 year old and 2 year old.  If that doesn't shout crazy I don't know what does.  But someone knew I was stressed out about the trip and blessed me with friends on the way. On my first flight, I was unexpectedly accompanied by Heidi McClintock, my sweet St. Louis friend.  We had no idea we were on the same flight!  It was so fun to have someone to talk with and help me with the kids. Thanks Heidi!!

I then had a 3 hour layover in Denver, which I had been dreading!  As we were wasting time at the airport I saw a girl that looked just like a good friend from medical school.  I kept staring at her (creepy I know) to see if it was the same girl.  I wasn't sure if it was her because she only had one kid with her and the girl that I knew had 4 kids.  Well as we were boarding the plane, she was in front of me. She turned around and I knew it was her! Katie Ryneresen! Who knew that my dear friend from school, who I haven't seen in years, and who lives in a different state, would be on the same flight as me. It was so fun to see her and catch up on life!

The boys did great again.  McKay even fell asleep which is a miracle!!

So the dreaded 11 hour traveling day was as good as it could possibly be.  I feel so blessed that someone was looking out for us!

As always we had so much fun with our families to sum it all up...

Easter

Easter this year was filled with Easter egg hunts. We loved it all and feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends to celebrate with.

We started out with our play group Easter egg hunt at the park.

Right before they started looking for their Easter baskets.

A few of our friends got together for another Easter egg hunt.. You can never have enough. :)

All in all it was a wonderful week for Easter!

Camping in March!

We went camping in MARCH! It was so fun and the boy's loved it! We went with our good friends the Thornton's.

We kind of looked a little white trash but what else would you expect from a family full of boys and dirt all over the place? :)

The kids loved sleeping in the tent.  Can't say it was the most comfortable for a pregnant woman but at least I can say I did it right? :)

McKays Birthday

We celebrated McKay's birthday with one of his bff's.  Nothing too exciting but cupcakes with lots of candy on them (arranged to look like trains)  ;)

Don't you just love his "smile"!!

McKay at age 2

He will melt your heart if you're around him.  From the very beginning he has always been such a "precious" little boy with such a big heart.

This kid is one daring little boy! He will climb anything, do anything and try everything.

He tries so hard to be like his big brother. He idolizes him.  So fun to watch.
Even though he loves his brother, he also knows just how to push Ammon's buttons.  Kind of funny coming from the younger sibling.  I guess that's just what brothers do.

He still doesn't say much but when he does talk it's in the sweetest voice. One of my favorite words he says is "Shyesh" (yes)

He loves dogs, cars, balls and guns.  If that doesn't shout boy I don't know what does.

He loves food (thank heavens) he eats almost everything and anything.

He loves his daddy! He loves playing with him and doing anything Fun with him.  But when it comes down to him needing love, comfort and sleep, he's a mama's boy.

He is one happy little boy.  Always smiling and laughing.  If he's hurt or sad it only takes a few minutes till he is up and running and having fun again.

We love you McKay!!

Winter fun

Here's some random pictures of winter 2012

The boys Shaving

Ok so one day I was in my bedroom and all of the sudden all of the lights flickered off and on.  Couldn't find out what it was all about until I found the boys behind the rocking chair in McKay room and this is what I found! McKay stuck a penny on top of the baby monitor plug.. Crazy. Luckily the kids were just fine but still so scary.

McKay and his good behavior getting his hair cut.
